ARCHAEOLOGY
To satisfy federal and state laws, Cypress Cultural Consultants (CCC) uses archaeology to identify historic and cultural resources within a project area. Through the systematic study of the physical remains of past human life of both prehistoric and historic societies, our project specialists evaluate the significance of these archaeological sites and then evaluates whether any impacts on these resources are likely from the project being proposed. This is done through the recovery and examination of remaining material evidence, such as graves, structural ruins, tools, and pottery. CCC’s experience has shown that the presence of archaeological and historic resources can often be rectified with project goals through creative solutions or minor modifications to the project design. The firm has extensive experience in cemetery assessments, Section 106 / NEPA compliance, archaeological survey and testing, and battlefield assessments.
